“Welcome. I’m Dana Rasic, CEO of Bethesda, an organization that serves and empowers communities around the globe with the hope of Jesus.
Bethesda was founded more than 60 years ago by a small town pastor with a big vision. Rev. Charles Taylor launched Bethesda to meet the growing needs of the elderly in his community while also ministering to the poor around the world. His bold vision connected senior living services with global outreach to form the multifaceted ministry we have today.
Bethesda is a family of ministries that is headquartered in Colorado Springs. Our impact extends through three key services: Bethesda Senior Living Communities, OneChild, and Bethesda Christian Broadcasting.
Senior living is the cornerstone of our business. Bethesda Senior Living Communities provide an environment where aging residents can thrive in independent living, assisted living, and memory care. We see ourselves as caregivers and advocates, providing unparalleled care for our residents, their families, and the community at large. With over 20 communities in operation and more in development, the ripple effect of this ministry continues to extend outward.
Our mission to make a difference is set apart by our “business for benevolence” model. As a not-for-profit organization, we reinvest our revenue to support ministry endeavors at home and around the world.
Some of this revenue is reinvested in our senior living communities, which allowed us to provide more than $7 Million in charitable care last year.
We also donate a significant portion of our revenues to OneChild, an international child development ministry that meets the physical and spiritual needs of children living in poverty. Through the work of the local church around the world, children receive food, education, medical aid, and hope in Jesus Christ. This global ministry came under Bethesda’s leadership in 1990, and now serves tens of thousands of children around the world.
Bethesda also broadcasts a message of hope through Christian radio stations. Bethesda Christian Broadcasting inspires listeners across five states through three radio stations to put their faith into action. Each July, we sponsor Hills Alive, one of the largest free Christian music festivals in the nation. This event draws over 50,000 people and listeners have sponsored thousands of children in partnership with OneChild.
Because this unique business model has the potential to transform so many lives, we value transparency and social accountability. In this spirit, Bethesda Associates offers IT, HR, Risk Management and Accounting services across the organization to ensure good governance and sound business practices.
Additional business ventures like Bethesda Real Estate allow us to strengthen a diverse investment portfolio and grow the resources we’ve been given.
From the beginning, Bethesda has been guided by the principle that business and service go hand in hand. We exist to empower communities and impact lives as ambassadors of Christ. Our mission to make a difference has diverse expression but united purpose. We trust that God will continue to use us in the communities we serve here in the US and all over the world.”
